Children and young people at Sacred Heart Catholic Church tend to go to the different village primary schools and a variety of secondary schools.  Coming together at Sacred Heart is an important time for them, at Mass, in the Gift of Faith sessions and in the sacramental preparation classes for First Forgiveness, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Social occasions are also important to continue to nurture the sense of Catholic community.

Various events such as Family Film nights, "Holy Jam" music practices, walking up the hills to Pots and Pans war memorial, our patronal feast day Mass and Refreshments, "Faith and Fun" afternoons are just a few examples of the events held throughout the year where families, children and young people get to know each other even better.
